How to choose a web design company in Bangladesh (2026 guide)
There are hundreds of web design companies in Dhaka, and most of them look the same from the outside. Here is how to tell them apart before you sign anything: the questions to ask, the red flags to walk away from, and what a fair price actually looks like.

Search for a web design company in Bangladesh and you will find page after page of agencies calling themselves the best. Most of them have similar portfolios, similar promises and no published prices. For a business owner, that makes choosing feel like a coin toss. It is not. A handful of simple checks will tell you, in an afternoon, which studios will build you a site that brings in customers and which will hand you a slow template and disappear.
We are a Dhaka studio ourselves, so read this with that in mind. But everything below is a check you can run on anyone, including us.
1. Look at how fast their own website loads on your phone
Open the agency's website on your own phone, on mobile data, not office Wi-Fi. If their homepage takes five seconds to show anything, or jumps around while it loads, that is the quality of work you are about to buy. A web design company that cannot make its own site fast will not make yours fast. You can also paste their address into Google's free PageSpeed Insights tool and look at the mobile score. Anything consistently in the red is a warning.
2. Ask for real, live links, not screenshots
A portfolio of images proves someone can use a design tool. It does not prove they can build a working website. Ask for live links to sites they built and open them yourself. Do the forms work? Does the site look right on a small Android phone? Is the text in Bangla rendering properly, without broken characters or awkward line-breaks? Live work is the only portfolio that counts.
3. Insist on a clear price before the meeting
Many Bangladeshi agencies will not give you a price until you have sat through a meeting, and some quote a different number to every client. Ask for a written price range upfront, and ask what exactly is included: how many pages, whether copywriting is included, how many revision rounds, and whether hosting and a domain are part of it. A company that is confident in its value will tell you the number.
- A single landing page: roughly $200 and up
- A small business website of five to ten pages: roughly $600 to $2,500
- A custom web application or large e-commerce build: several thousand dollars and up
- Monthly maintenance: from around $90 a month for proper updates and backups
4. Find out who owns the website when it is finished
This is the most common trap. Some companies register your domain in their own name, host the site on their own server, and keep the login details. When you want to change developers, you discover you cannot take your own website with you. Before you pay anything, get it in writing that the domain, the hosting account and the code will be in your name.
5. Ask what the site is built with, and why
Most web design companies in Bangladesh build on WordPress with a page builder such as Elementor. That is not automatically bad, but it tends to produce heavy pages that need constant plugin updates to stay secure. Modern frameworks such as Next.js load far faster and have much less to go wrong, but not every agency can build with them. The right answer depends on your business. The wrong answer is an agency that cannot explain its choice.
6. Check that SEO is built in, not sold later
Every page should have its own title and description, one clear main heading, fast loading on mobile, and structured data that tells Google what your business is. These are part of building a website properly, not an add-on package. If an agency offers to build your site now and 'do SEO' for an extra monthly fee later, ask why the basics are not in the build.
7. See something before you commit
The best way to judge a web design company is to see what it would actually make for you. Ask for a first draft or at least a homepage concept before paying the full amount. Some studios, including ours, will show you a free working draft before any payment. Others take a deposit first. Either can be fine, but you should never pay the full amount for something you have not seen.
Red flags that should end the conversation
- Guaranteed first-page Google rankings. Nobody can guarantee this.
- A price that only exists after a meeting and changes with each conversation.
- No live links, only screenshots or a PDF portfolio.
- The domain or hosting will be registered in the agency's name.
- Reviews or client logos that you cannot verify anywhere else online.
